I'm back from my weekend getaway! I had such a wonderful time and I couldn't wait to tell all of you about it.
On Saturday morning I got up at 5 am to leave bright and early to go to my Aunt's house in New York. She just moved into a new house and we were so excited to see it. It is absolutely beautiful!

The buffet!

My first plate. My Aunt reminded me to take pictures after I ate most of the food on the plate. You can tell that I started with a lot more then what you see. It was so good that I completely forgot about taking pictures. That and it was 2pm and I was starving. :)
My second and last plate of food. :)

We arrived in New York in the late morning on Saturday and got to visit with my Aunt and my cousins. It was so nice to see them. We don't get to see them as much as I would like to so it is always so wonderful to spend time with them.
My Aunt is so wonderful. She bought all kinds of healthy food for the weekend because she knows that I am trying to eat healthy. For lunch that day she got Arnold's sandwich thins, lunch meat turkey, ham and cheese for sandwiches. She had this awesome hot mustard that really gave my sandwich such a great flavor. She also had grapes, cauliflower, peppers, celery and dip. We also had the new wheat thin chip type crackers to snack on. They were so good. It was so nice to have healthy options while we were there and everything she had was so good.
On Saturday night we went to a place called the Rotterdam mall. We had a good time walking through all of the stores but my favorite part was when my husband bought me something that I really wanted. I will tell you all about it later today. I am so excited.
We ate dinner in the mall at a really good restaurant. I can't remember the name but the food was wonderful. This is what I had.
I was so nauseous when we got there that the only thing that sounded good was sweet potato fries so I got the only meal on the menu that had them. It was a steak that had BBQ sauce on it and was served on top of fried onions. I was shocked that it turned out to be the best steak I ever had. The fries were great too. I ate about half of them. Then for dessert I had chocolate cheesecake. I shouldn't have but it was so, so good.
This was my breakfast on Sunday morning. One English muffin toasted with a piece of bacon on it. It was great! Just enough bacon to taste good but not enough to make me feel bad for eating it.
Now onto my favorite part of the day. After Church we went to a wonderful Indian restaurant in Albany (I think). It was a buffet and it was amazing. I love Indian food but only get to eat it once a year if I'm lucky. We don't have any Indian restaurants close by so it is always a treat when we go to one. This Indian restaurant was so neat because I got to try so many different types of food. I tried a little of everything. Well almost everything. It was nice because I didn't overeat but I did enjoy. I loved everything! The only thing that I feel I ate to much of was the Naan (Indian bread). It is so good!

Awesome rice pudding!
My daughter and the fruit bowl. She would live on fruit if I let her.
I was a happy girl that day. Can you tell that I love Indian food?!!!

Can you tell what we did Sunday night? Yep, we roasted marshmallows over the fire and made S'mores. They were so good. I did limit myself to one. I learned my lesson when we were camping last summer and I gained like 6 pounds from eating S'mores.
